The SY NEO Chain and SY Aqua Chain are both corrosion-resistant roller chains by Sugiyama, designed for different environmental challenges.
The NEO Chain uses a carbon steel base with advanced C-Z coating (a combination of chromate and zinc) to deliver excellent corrosion resistance in humid, outdoor, and industrial environments at a lower cost.
In contrast, the Aqua Chain is also made from carbon steel, but each component undergoes a specialized dual-layer chemical treatment before assembly, offering significantly better corrosion protection than standard zinc- or nickel-plated chains.
Unlike the SY Stainless Steel Chain, which is made entirely from 304 stainless steel for maximum resistance in food-grade and chemical environments, the Aqua Chain provides an intermediate solution—more corrosion-resistant than standard coatings but stronger and more economical than stainless steel.
